Scott Kaufman

Scott Kaufman is co-founder of PeerAspect, a new company building a global network of experts that helps companies third-party-verify environmental models and solve sustainability problems. Prior to establishing the business, Mr. Kaufman was the U.S. Head of Advisory Services at the Carbon Trust, where he helped to lead supply chain carbon strategy and reduction work with manufacturers and retailers. His work at Carbon Trust also involved partnerships and client relationships with organizations such as PepsiCo, AMD, Cargill, the World Resources Institute, the World Wildlife Fund, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and many others.

 

Mr. Kaufman also has management experience in the environmental industry, working with the Columbia Earth Institute, PepsiCo International, RecycleBank and the New York City Department of Sanitation.

 

He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University, where he focused on lifecycle analysis in municipal solid waste management.
