Monique Oxender

Monique Oxender leads Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) efforts related to sustainability engagement. Within the company, this includes metrics management, systems integration and accountability for the enterprise and across business units. Monique also facilitates meaningful engagement with partners and stakeholders external to the company via formal reporting and active dialogue. She joined GMCR in April of 2012 after 8 years with Ford Motor Company where she developed a leading supply chain sustainability program spanning the company's $65B buy from 60 countries. Issues under her responsibility included human rights, indirect carbon and water footprints, and raw material transparency. In addition, she served as Chair of multiple industry workgroups for the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), leading automobile manufacturers and suppliers in a collaborative effort to address sustainability issues in the global automotive supply chain.

 

With a background in secondary education and sustainability, Monique has an MBA and an MS from the University of Michigan.
